History Moments: June – October

Every second Sunday, during our 11:15am Sunday worship service, we’ll look back at our history related to church locations, missions, small groups, food pantry mission, and music ministry.

Game Night: Saturday July 15th @ 6:00pm

Murder Mystery Game Night with light dinner.  Our congregation has a history of fellowship through game nights.  Join us for what will be a fun and memorable evening!

Movie Night: Friday, August 18th @ 7:30pm

Our congregation has often hosted events for the community.  Kick back, relax, and have fun with an old movie and snacks.

Picnic: Saturday, September 16th @ 4:00pm

Barbecue Picnic with music (no need to cook!).  The cost will be $20 per individual. The meal will include hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hotdogs, corn on the cob, sausage & peppers, salad, and watermelon.

Game Night: Saturday, October 20th @ 7:00pm

Boonton UMC version of Jeopardy.  See how well you know the congregation, its history, and the people in it!

Special Service & Celebration Luncheon:  Sunday, November 5th @ 11:15am

The planning team is envisioning a celebratory service on this All Saints Sunday that involves
communion and a choir concert, followed by a luncheon and cake to celebrate our 170th anniversary as a church.

Graceful Controversies Small Group @ Boonton United Methodist Church
Jan 23 @ 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM

We are living in a time of great division and polarization. We see this reality written all over our newspapers and flashed across our TV screens. We see it within our nation and throughout the world. We even see it within our churches, especially when it comes to key issues and beliefs individuals and groups hold strong, yet differing, convictions regarding. It is during times like these that we are especially called to our commitment to others and our commitment to what’s most important. And above all, to be reminded of God’s commitment to us, and how we might model that same commitment to all God’s beloved children, whom we may discover are more similar to us than we ever imagined.

You are also welcome to join us each week for our newest Wednesday night small group opportunity led by Pastor Donald in the narthex of Boonton UMC. Our theme will be “Graceful Controversies” and will be happening at 7pm every week starting Wednesday, January 23rd.
